Lieutenant General J. T. (Jubilation Theophilus) Cornpone, Commander-in-Chief of the Aquilan Citizens Freedom Army (ACFA), barely escaped following his defeat at the Battle of the Lesath. His second in command, Sergeant-Major-General Amos T. Halfwheel, was not so fortunate being mortally wounded when the battle was almost over. The Facilitator General T. R. Otsky (whose job kept him in the rear-ehelon) easily escaped and was heard muttering, "One flight backwards and one move sideways, to go two moves forward. We shall prevail in the end! Power to the Citizens of VELA."
